Stapled Bellows (Part 1)

First I measured the gusset in relation to the paddles, and determined where to glue the gusset ends together. Some trimming may be required, and again I used a metal straightedge and the Fiskers roller cutter to do this trim.

The ends are joined using rubber cement (Barge). Once tacky, set the bond with a rubber mallet, and let rest for 24 hours.

Once dry, the gusset seam needs to be stitched for reinforcement. I pre-punched holes in a square pattern which makes sewing somewhat easier. Note that I am punching through to a wood (pine) block.
